I ended up here based on the recommendations of both a Facebook group and a friend. A different friend said her cleaning wasn’t thorough, so I was torn on what to do. I decided to go and experience it for myself. I first took my kids there for cleanings. Positive front desk experience. The pediatric dentist was very patient and empathetic. She had to remove one baby tooth along and do cleanings. The kids got toys afterward. The dentist next to her also did a good job and did cleaning and a filling. My kids were happy with their visit. Another farang patient also told me about his years of positive visits.
I had my own visit today. My thoughts were to get a cleaning and exam and then base potential next steps on how good I felt about my visit. I’m not discounting the bad reviews, but today’s was one of the best dental visits I’ve ever had in my life. Not exaggerating. Dr. Jarunee had excellent bedside manner and periodically asked if I was in any discomfort. She heard my story and synthesized the info well. I felt seen and heard and respected. And her assistant was in sync with her. I was blown away that I never had to request the suction tube to get that last little bit of spit out of my mouth. The assistant was that thorough! Lol. The visit would’ve been over after the deep cleaning, but I requested x-rays. Dr. Jarunee looked them over, and unlike what previous reviewers said, she didn’t suggest additional work. If she were trying to make money, she could’ve suggested some expensive procedures. However, she gave me a positive outlook that with proper home care and regular cleanings, I should be ok for a while. Again, I’m not discounting the experiences of others, nor am I commenting on other doctors. I’m just saying my kids and I are all smiles about our visits to Empress.
