Doctors of SRMC Porur are just amazing... Specially doctor Praveen (surgical gastroenterology) , he is so caring that patient would get cured with his words... Thanks to that man!! Genius too!! All nurses are very good,they also check patients attentively..

When u go here for an emergency, they will try to confirm if you are good enough to take care of expenses first. I still remember taking my family member in an ambulance, with the letter from a clinic doctor, clearly stating patient needs medical care ASAP. Instead of speaking to a doctor, a money minded admin person spoke to me and told ICU is full and will take several hours to be admitted. Had to travel several kms to a diff hosp due to this, by the time I reached, it was too late. If any of the management person is reading this review, make sure a doctor makes a decision, not some money minded management crook. U will never know the pain of losing someone due to a bad decision by a 3rd person, unless it happens to yourself.

I had approached Dr. Naveen Alexander, a general surgeon, with the hope that I would be in good hands given his qualifications. But unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of distressing.
From the beginning, I was met with cold, authoritative responses rather than compassionate communication. There was no attempt to understand my concerns, no patience to listen, only curt replies and judgment. It felt like I was being spoken to, not spoken with. Respect is a two-way street, especially in a space meant for healing and that was completely missing here.
What made things worse was the complete lack of post operative care. Most of the interactions were with juniors who seemed indifferent and even they did not bother to check on me after surgery. We were left in the dark, waiting for days with no updates, as if communication wasn't a priority.
Adding to the discomfort, Dr. Naveen often appeared preoccupied with his phone during consultations. Even more inappropriate was his tendency to crack double meaning jokes and laugh in front of patients including me who had come in pain and fear, looking for empathy and reassurance.
This was the worst experience I've had with a doctor and I truly hope no one else has to go through something similar. Qualifications matter, yes, but so does basic human decency.

Hospital is clean and good infrastructure.In emergency ward there is no chairs to sit with patients.It is a very big place and u just clicked the pictures of emergency block. Doctors here are good but this hospital money minded. Only who has money can reach out this hospital for a check up.

I am deeply thankful for his immediate diagnosis and quick decision-making, which played a crucial role in the success of the treatment. His expertise, confidence, and clear communication brought great reassurance during a critical moment in my health journey.
I would also like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the entire hospital team. The ICU staff provided exceptional care and attention during my post-procedure recovery, ensuring I was stable and comfortable at all times. The nursing team deserves special thanks for their round-the-clock support, compassion, and professionalism—they truly went above and beyond in making me feel cared for.
From the initial admission to the final stages of recovery, every department I encountered was efficient, kind, and supportive.
