Our family will forever remain grateful to Dr. Kaushaki Shankar (Senior Consultant – Neonatology) and Dr. Harshwardhan (Principal Consultant – Pediatric Surgery) at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, for their extraordinary care, compassion, and dedication during our child Kriyansh’s long and challenging treatment journey.
Kriyansh was diagnosed with Short Bowel Syndrome and was admitted for almost five months at Max Hospital. Those months were filled with uncertainty, fear, and countless emotional moments — but throughout this period, both doctors stood beside us with unwavering support, medical brilliance, and human kindness. Their tireless efforts, attention to every detail, and calm reassurance gave us hope when we needed it most.
Today, seeing Kriyansh healthy and touching the feet of his grandparents for blessings feels like a miracle — a milestone that could not have been achieved without the exceptional care of Dr. Kaushaki and Dr. Harshwardhan.
We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful nursing and support staff — Ms. Himani, Ms. Neelam, Ms. Priya, Ms. Jinu, Ms. Alfy, Ms. Babita, Ms. Monika, Ms. Joycey, and Brother — who cared for our child like their own, with constant warmth, affection, and professionalism.

On 27th of July, my mother fell off at home and broke her hip bone, she was in pain which was unbearable.
We all were terrified considering she’s a senior citizen and the situation she was in.
I would like to thank Dr Divesh Gulati and his team as they took all our worries. The surgery was performed in time successfully, and within 24 hours my mother was able to walk again! 😊
The entire journey with Max was really good, we can’t even think of a single thing that we didn’t like throughout her rehabilitation.
Dr Divesh, a heartfelt thank you, the moment we spoke on the phone, you and your team had made our journey effortless, the ambulance reached in time, the xray and other procedures were conducted without a delay. My mother is out of danger and is recovering really well.

Esp. Thanks to sister Lucky, she took care of my mother as if she was her own family member. Lucky practices a great emotional resilience. The way she was dealing with the patients is commendable.
Dr Shweta, Dr Nitesh, Dr Manish were amazing with their physiotherapy sessions throughout her course of treatment.
Even after my mother was discharged from the hospital, Dr Divesh’s team, including Tanu and Anu, had been in touch with us, they care about the patients.

I admitted for PLEOMORPHIC ADENOMA RIGHT PAROTID GLAND Surgery. The doctors, nurses, and support staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and compassionate.
The hospital was well-maintained with strict hygiene protocols.
Efficient Service with minimal waiting time, smooth admission/discharge process. Overall, I had a positive experience at Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh Delhi. The medical team Dr. Kundan and his team was exceptional, and I felt well cared for. However, reducing wait times for diagnostics would enhance patient satisfaction. I would recommend this hospital for its expertise and patient-centered care.

I am extremely satisfied with the housekeeping services managed by Rekha and Chandan at Max Hospital Shalimar Bagh. Both of them display exceptional professionalism, dedication, and attention to detail in their work. They ensure that the hospital premises remain clean, hygienic, and well-organized at all times, which greatly contributes to a safe and comfortable environment for patients and visitors.
Rekha and Chandan are not only efficient in their duties but also polite, approachable, and quick to respond to any requests or concerns. Their teamwork and commitment to maintaining high standards are truly commendable. I genuinely appreciate their hard work and consistent efforts in keeping the hospital’s cleanliness and hygiene at the best level possible.

Review of Neonatal Department – Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh (Dr. Kaushaki Shankar & NICU Staff)
Our baby was admitted under Dr. Kaushaki Shankar in the NICU at Max Hospital, Shalimar Bagh. Initially, she insisted on admitting the baby urgently due to high jaundice/pilia concerns, even though bilirubin levels were under 20 (around 15 for a 7-day-old baby). Phototherapy was given, and thankfully the results were good – no issue there.
However, what really raised concern was the way more than 30+ tests were done on a newborn, which seemed excessive and more like a way of inflating bills than actual medical necessity. On top of that, the rotavirus test was done very late, and only after that “positive” result we were told the baby had to remain in NICU longer. This pattern felt fishy and left us questioning whether the intention was genuine care or simply prolonging admission for billing.
Another very serious issue was the unprofessionalism of the nursing staff. Nurses were often laughing loudly, chatting, and even joking on the floor. One night, when a male doctor was seriously explaining something important to us, even he got visibly irritated because the nurses’ chaos made it impossible for us to listen properly. This is unacceptable behavior in a sensitive NICU environment where parents are already stressed.
Overall, Dr. Kaushaki Shankar came across as extremely money-minded, and I would not recommend her to anyone. The hospital’s top management must also look into the unprofessional behavior of the NICU staff – they can easily verify this through CCTV footage.
When it comes to newborn care, parents expect empathy, professionalism, and transparency. Sadly, our experience was the opposite.
