Co-authored the Liver Transplantation chapter in Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery (2016).
Prof. Abuzer Dirican is a Professor of General Surgery and Surgical Oncology and Head of Department at Florence Nightingale Hospital. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. He completed his general surgery training at SSK Ankara in 2000. He served at İnönü University’s Liver Transplant Institute and became a professor in 2017. He also completed a clinical and research fellowship in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.

He authored the Liver Transplantation chapter in Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery in 2016. His publications cover cholangiocarcinoma, liver transplantation, endocrine surgery, and colorectal surgery. Notable work includes a prospective randomized trial on pilonidal disease and studies on breast cancer–related lymphedema. He also co-authored analyses of 304 living-donor liver transplants and 109 hepatic vein reconstructions.

Olá, o meu nome é Sella e vivo em Bali, na Indonésia. Gostaria de partilhar uma opinião honesta baseada na minha experiência em encontrar um coordenador médico, um médico e um hospital para o meu caso. Foi-me recentemente diagnosticado um quisto nos ovários e uma endometriose de fase 4 que exigiu uma cirurgia precoce. Fui inicialmente hospitalizada em Bali, mas o médico aconselhou-me a procurar um hospital mais bem equipado, uma vez que não tinham o equipamento necessário para efetuar a cirurgia. Numa ilha pequena como Bali, não foi fácil encontrar um hospital adequado. Felizmente, o meu melhor amigo ajudou-me a entrar em contacto com um gestor médico da Bookimed. Foi assim que encontrámos Alisher, o gestor médico, e o Prof. Dr. A Cem Ayibozkurt do Hospital Florence Nightingale em Istambul. Marcámos uma consulta online com o médico, que era gratuita. Her level of empathy was touching

O meu pedido era para um tratamento específico para a minha doença, que creio ter sido desencadeada pela COVID ou por complicações relacionadas com a vacina. O tratamento em si é relativamente novo e não está amplamente disponível; no entanto, o médico Faturanız Hazırdır estava aberto a considerar o meu pedido, o que foi um fator decisivo na escolha deste hospital. O seu nível de empatia foi comovente. Quando cheguei, recebi um apoio extraordinário de Aliser Durdiyev, que coordenou todo o processo - desde a receção e a aquisição de medicamentos até à marcação do tratamento. Nada disto teria sido possível sem a Hanna Karvatska, que nos pôs em contacto com todos nós e que tem uma profunda ligação pessoal e profissional com as pessoas daqui, e estou profundamente grato a ela, à Alisar e ao médico pelo seu apoio e profissionalismo. Foi-nos diagnosticada hidrocefalia interna e externa num recém-nascido. Enquanto procurava clínicas, deparei-me acidentalmente com a plataforma Bukimed. Um sincero agradecimento ao Hospital Florence Nightingale A minha mulher e eu gostaríamos de expressar os nossos sinceros agradecimentos ao hospital e ao seu maravilhoso pessoal. Antes de mais, muito obrigado ao nosso coordenador Alisher. Ele organizou tudo - hotéis, transferes, toda a logística - ao mais alto nível. Tudo foi organizado na perfeição. Estamos-lhe sinceramente gratos pelo seu cuidado e profissionalismo. Esteve sempre ao nosso lado e, mesmo quando regressámos a casa, na Letónia, manteve-se em contacto e apoiou-nos em todas as etapas do processo. A atitude e o profissionalismo dos médicos e da equipa médica foram simplesmente fantásticos. Relativamente ao tratamento, o meu diagnóstico foi um tumor cerebral localizado numa zona muito delicada e complexa, onde a cirurgia é extremamente difícil. Conseguimos retirar quase tudo! A operação foi realizada pelo Professor Ilham Elmaci, um cirurgião brilhante e muito experiente, juntamente com a sua equipa excecional. Fizeram um trabalho espetacular. O que mais nos impressionou foi a seriedade com que toda a equipa levava o seu trabalho - todas as manhãs, mesmo aos fins-de-semana, quase todo o pessoal médico vinha ver como eu estava. Gostaríamos também de agradecer ao Dr. Azat Mustafayev, um médico maravilhoso que compreende verdadeiramente os seus doentes e está sempre pronto a ajudá-los e a apoiá-los.
