    Prof. Abuzer Dirican is a Professor of General Surgery and Surgical Oncology and Head of Department at Florence Nightingale Hospital. He graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1995. He completed his general surgery training at SSK Ankara in 2000. He served at İnönü University’s Liver Transplant Institute and became a professor in 2017. He also completed a clinical and research fellowship in liver transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery.

    He authored the Liver Transplantation chapter in Schwartz’s Principles of Surgery in 2016. His publications cover cholangiocarcinoma, liver transplantation, endocrine surgery, and colorectal surgery. Notable work includes a prospective randomized trial on pilonidal disease and studies on breast cancer–related lymphedema. He also co-authored analyses of 304 living-donor liver transplants and 109 hepatic vein reconstructions.

Recomendo altamente o Hospital Florence Nightingale para qualquer pessoa que esteja prestes a passar por uma jornada médica. Para nós, tudo aconteceu de forma tão repentina. Desde o momento em que enviamos os arquivos e fizemos nossa solicitação no Bookimed, Aliser, como Coordenador Internacional, estava imediatamente pronto para nos apoiar - incrivelmente atencioso e com compaixão. Ele foi prestativo com nossas necessidades e, a qualquer momento, fazia chamadas pelo WhatsApp para responder a perguntas e ia além para nos fornecer as informações necessárias. Estávamos lidando com problemas significativos de fuso horário (com base em Hong Kong, enquanto o paciente, sogro, estava na Albânia), mas não sentimos esse fardo. Tínhamos muitas necessidades específicas que foram atendidas, incluindo a realização de uma videochamada com o Professor Yildiray Yuzer para responder a perguntas diretamente. Não éramos os pacientes mais fáceis, com muita necessidade de garantia, mas Aliser foi útil ao se colocar no lugar do paciente e estar do nosso lado para nos ajudar. Ficamos extremamente satisfeitos com o nível de suporte recebido - especialmente em comparação com outros hospitais em Istambul. Não posso recomendar o Aliser e o nível de suporte que recebemos o suficiente - especialmente em circunstâncias tão difíceis. Uma vez que chegamos a Istambul, apreciamos ser recebidos com um transfer, e foram feitas recomendações de acomodação para garantir nosso conforto. Ao longo de nossas consultas, sentimos definitivamente que a equipe Florence era sincera - colocando a saúde do paciente em primeiro lugar, acima do lucro, o que apreciamos. Durante a própria estadia no hospital, também ficamos impressionados com a compaixão das enfermeiras e da equipe de apoio em nossa ala. Algo que foi tão desafiador foi pontuado ao longo do tempo com muitos momentos de calor e apoio. Além disso, as instalações, os quartos do hospital, a limpeza e a higiene no Florence foram fantásticos, não poderíamos ter desejado uma estadia melhor. Mais importante ainda, fomos tranquilizados pela experiência e expertise do Professor Yuzer e sua equipe. Qualquer paciente pode confiar que está em mãos experientes. Também é útil ver que essas habilidades são apoiadas por uma empatia genuína pelo paciente. No final das contas, o procedimento foi um sucesso (esperamos que o resultado positivo de saúde continue!). Parece surreal ter embarcado nessa jornada, no entanto, estou extremamente satisfeito com o serviço, suporte e expertise do hospital. Não há nada que eu possa pensar em melhorar!
