Dr. Boris Pekárek is a gastroenterologist. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava in 2002. He worked at the Internal Medicine Clinic in Trnava from 2002 to April 2010. He obtained his specialization in gastroenterology in 2008.

Since April 2010, he has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute. He has led the department since 2017. He completed several specialized training courses abroad. Dr. Andrej Orságh is a gastroenterologist, certified in 2015. He has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute (NOÚ) since 2016. Since 2019 he has been the institute’s specialist consultant for colorectal cancer screening. He leads the colorectal cancer screening working group of the Slovak Gastroenterological Society. He is vice-chair of its Endoscopy Section and chair of its Oncology Section.

He graduated from Comenius University in 2009. He trained at the Gastroenterology Clinic of the University Hospital in Bratislava and at the Slovak Medical University. He shares his expertise at professional conferences and in publications. He also teaches basic and advanced endoscopic techniques in NOÚ courses.
