Prof. M.D. Yusuf Serdar Sakin was born in Nevşehir in 1978. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Gülhane Military Medical Academy in 2002.

In 2011 he became the first medical professional in the world to use the 15-mm AXIOS stent in pancreatic fluid collection drainage. In 2018 he began to perform gastroenteroanastomosis with luminal apposition stent in patients with pancreatic cancer and bowel obstruction, thus becoming a pioneer in Andalusia to perform such technique.

Dr. Cagdas Erdogan is a gastroenterologist at Ankara Etlik City Hospital. He trained in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He earned his MD from Dokuz Eylul University. Dr. Boris Pekárek is a gastroenterologist. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University in Bratislava in 2002. He worked at the Internal Medicine Clinic in Trnava from 2002 to April 2010. He obtained his specialization in gastroenterology in 2008.

Since April 2010, he has worked at the Gastroenterology Department of the National Cancer Institute. He has led the department since 2017. He completed several specialized training courses abroad.
