Prof. Dr. Alaettin Çelik graduated from Adapazarı İlyaslar Primary School in 1960, from Haydarpaşa High School in 1966, and from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine in 1972. In the same year, he became an assistant in the 2nd Surgery Department of the Faculty of Medicine. Between November 1975 and February 1976, he completed his military service for 4 months at the Gelibolu Military Hospital as a Reserve Officer. In 1977, he became a General Surgery Specialist in the Department of Surgery.

To establish the pediatric surgery department at the faculty and to specialize further, he worked as a registrar at the University of London's "The Hospital for Sick Children" from 01.12.1978 to 01.12.1980. After returning to the faculty, he continued his pediatric surgery studies and became an associate professor in 1982.

In the same year, he was appointed as the founding chairman of the Pediatric Surgery Department at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine on 06.09.1982. He established the department, which included a 30-bed inpatient unit, an ICU, a polyclinic, and an operating room for students, assistants, and specialists. In 1988, he became a professor. In addition to leading the Pediatric Surgery Department, he served as the Vice President of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences between 1990 and 1995. From 1995 to 1998, he was the Head of the Department of Surgical Medical Sciences at Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.

He is a specialist in General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, and Pediatric Urology. He has numerous cited and published clinical and experimental research articles, case reports, expert theses, and free papers presented at domestic and international congresses. He is the author of several books, including Pediatric Surgery Book of Pediatric Surgery (2014), Newborn Surgery (2008), and Pediatric Surgery Book (2013).

He is a member of various professional medical associations, including the Turkish Ministry of Health Pediatric Surgery Society. He established, developed, and trained a large number of students, assistants, specialists, and faculty members at the Istanbul Faculty of Medicine, Department of Pediatric Surgery. He left the Department of Pediatric Surgery in 2013 and retired due to age limits on 16.03.2016. His contracted working period at the same faculty ended on 22.10.2016. He continues to work as a Pediatric Surgery Specialist at Istanbul Florence Nightingale Hospital and participates in weekly meetings of the Council of Children's Tumors.

Dr. Ozkan Onuk is a skilled urologist with expertise in urooncology, endourology, female urology, andrology, laparoscopic surgery, pediatric urology, and incontinence. He is known for performing complex procedures such as nephrectomy, robotic da Vinci prostatectomy, bladder removal, and vasectomy.

Dr. Onuk earned his medical degree and MSc from Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. He completed his Ph.D. in Urology at Taksim E.A.H. In 2020, he became an Associate Professor at New Century University. He has a strong academic background and extensive surgical experience, especially in minimally invasive and robotic urological surgeries.

He graduated in Medicine at the Malaga University and specialised in Urology at the Carlos Haya Hospital in the same province.

He travelled to the United States in 2012 for a study stay at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Centre in New York. Specifically, at the Oncology Unit leaded by Dr Karim Touijer.

Years later, he consolidated his training with specialist courses in lower urinary tract surgery, advanced renal surgery, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor surgery, male urology surgery at the Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia and a Master in the Update of Urologic Surgery at the Cardenal Herrera University.

The Quirónsalud Marbella Hospital Urology Unit deals with the study, diagnosis and treatment of the conditions affecting the urinary system, the suprarenal glands and the retroperitoneum of both male and female patients, as well as the male reproductive system.

The team of experts and the nursing team in this Unit have vast expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of the various pathologies treated by this speciality.

We cover all the medical, preventative and surgical aspects in order to offer early detection, an adequate diagnosis and an accurate treatment. Our main objective is to offer the highest quality in humane treatment and scientific knowledge with a clear and decisive vocation of patient service.

The Urology Unit performs its activities at the A&E Unit (helping with any urologic emergency 24 hours a day and 365 days a year) and at the Outpatient Consultations Unit (helping patients with an appointment from Monday to Friday, morning and afternoon)

Education and Experience

Dr. Ramazan Gökhan Atış, born in Istanbul in 1978, graduated from Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School in 1996. He completed his medical education at Çapa Faculty of Medicine in 2002. Between 2002 and 2008, he received his specialization training at the Istanbul Şişli Etfal Training and Research Hospital Department of Urology, and obtained the title of Urology Specialist in February 2008. After working at Edremit Military Hospital between 2008 and 2009, he started working as a Urology specialist at Istanbul Göztepe Training and Research Hospital in 2009. In 2011, he underwent a 3-month Laparoscopy-Robotic Urology training at Heidelberg University Heillbronn Clinic. Between 2009 and 2014, he conducted numerous scientific research studies, especially in the field of endourology, and obtained the title of Associate Professor in September 2014. In 2017, he was elected as a board member of the Endourology Society and has been serving in this position since then. Since 2018, he has been actively involved in the Endourology working group of the European Association of Urology, Young Academic Urologists (EAU-YAU) Committee for a period of 2 years. In January 2021, he was appointed as a Professor at the Istanbul Medeniyet University Department of Urology.After that started working at Şişli Memorial Hospital in 2022.
