Univ.-Prof. Dr. Dagmar Bancher is a senior gynecologist and obstetrician in Vienna. She has over 25 years of experience. She completed her medical studies at the University of Vienna in 1991. She qualified as a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics in 1998.

Dr. Klaus Novak is a neurosurgeon in Vienna with over 20 years of experience. He graduated from the University of Vienna in 1992. He became a board-certified neurosurgeon in 2001. He completed international training. This included research at Beth Israel Hospital in the United States. He introduced intraoperative motor evoked potential monitoring in Austria.

His clinical focus includes spine surgery, brain tumors, hydrocephalus, epilepsy, movement disorders, and neuromodulation. He is active in the interdisciplinary Movement Disorder Board at MedUni Vienna.

Univ.-Prof. Dr. Heinz Gisslinger is a leading hematologist and internal oncologist at the Medical University of Vienna and the Confraternität Private Clinic Josefstadt. He helped found the Laboratory for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms. He is Program Director for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms and leads clinical and translational research.

He pioneered interferon therapy for myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). He first used it clinically in the 1980s and has advanced it for more than four decades. His expertise includes polycythemia vera, essential thrombocythemia, primary myelofibrosis, chronic myeloid leukemia, and multiple myeloma.

Dr. Thomas Bachleitner-Hofmann is a leading visceral surgeon at Confraternitaet Private Hospital. He specializes in surgery for large and small intestine, peritoneal, and breast cancers. He is known for his advanced surgical skills and his focus on team-based cancer care.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Association for Cancer Research, European Society of Coloproctology, and the Austrian Breast and Colorectal Cancer Study Group. Dr. Bachleitner-Hofmann has received awards such as the Heinrich Treichl Prize, ACO-ASSO Award, AACR Aflac Award, Theodor Billroth Prize, and the Prize of the City of Vienna for his work in cancer research.

Neurologist

Dr. Josef Grohs is an experienced orthopedist who specializes in spine surgery. He has over 30 years of clinical practice. He received his medical degree from the University of Vienna in 1986. He also completed advanced training in clinical examination, manual medicine, and clinical monitoring. Dr. Grohs holds a habilitation in orthopedics and has been a certified orthopedic surgeon since 1998.

He is the Chair of AO-Spine Austria and serves on the Advisory Board of the Austrian Spine Society. He was President of the society from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Grohs has performed surgeries in several countries. He is a core reviewer for the Spine Society of Europe and has published many articles in his field. His leadership and knowledge have improved orthopedic and spine care in Austria and internationally.

Dr. Stefan Sacu is an experienced ophthalmologist. He specializes in cataract and retinal surgery, as well as diseases of the macula and retina. Since 1999, he has worked at the Department of Ophthalmology at the Medical University of Vienna. He is known for his research on new treatments for exudative macular diseases and genetic therapies for retinal disorders.

Dr. Sacu received the Theodor-Koerner Science Prize in 2003. He is an active member of the DGII and ESCRS. He has played a key role in clinical teaching. His published research on anti-VEGF therapies and retinal vein occlusions has established him as a leading expert in ophthalmology.

Dr. Tamara Kopp is a dermatologist with expertise in skin cancer screening, dermatological surgery, laser medicine, allergy diagnosis and treatment, pigment disorders, acne, aesthetic dermatology, and psoriasis. She led the Allergy Department at AKH Vienna. Dr. Kopp has also worked on international projects at Harvard University and Prince Court Medical Center in Malaysia.

Dr. Kopp is a founding partner at JUVENIS. She has published many scientific articles and received awards such as the Heinrich Auspitz Prize and Theodor-Billroth-Preis Award. Her experience includes years of clinical leadership and academic work in dermatology.

Dr. Irene Marthe Lang is a leading cardiologist and vascular surgeon at Vienna General Hospital (AKH). She is also a Professor at the Medical University of Vienna. Dr. Lang introduced Austria’s method for widening narrowed pulmonary vessels. She leads research in cardiopulmonary medicine, hemodynamics, and vascular interventions.

Dr. Lang graduated with highest honors, “sub auspiciis praesidentis.” She received national recognition, including an honorary order for her services to Austria in 2016. She leads research teams and manages a modern catheter laboratory. Dr. Lang is known for her work in pulmonary hypertension, vascular biology, and myocardial regeneration.
