Professional Experience

Psychologist, Psychiatric Department of the Military Medical Academy
One of my most significant experiences was working in the psychiatric department of the Military Medical Academy, where I worked with clients dealing with various forms of trauma, especially from military service in conflict zones. During my time there, I worked both individually and in groups with traumatized soldiers and civilian patients who had experienced psychiatric disorders resulting from severe experiences.

I was responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, and emotional instability. Treatments included Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, and trauma-focused therapy. I quickly learned to adapt my methods depending on the individual’s specific needs, which was an invaluable lesson in understanding the complex psychological effects of trauma.

She was born in Istanbul in 1986. He graduated from Üsküdar American High School in 2004. In 2010, she graduated from Istanbul University Istanbul Faculty of Medicine and received the title of doctor of medicine. In 2021, she started working as a psychiatry specialist at NPISTANBUL AMATEM department. In 2023, she was awarded the title of associate professor in psychiatry. Dr. Ceylan Ergül continues to work as an associate professor at Üsküdar University Department of Mental Health and Diseases and continues her research in the fields of addiction and psychosis.
