Dr. Azmi Hamzaoglu is a leading spine surgeon with 36 years of experience in orthopedics and traumatology. He founded the Istanbul Scoliosis and Spine Center, the first facility in Turkey focused on spine surgery.

Em 2014, graduou-se na Universidade Médica do Azerbaijão e recebeu o título de Doutor em Medicina. Em 2014, passou com sucesso no Exame de Língua Médica realizado pela ÖSYM e, em 2015, passou com sucesso no Exame de Colocação em Doutorado Médico realizado pela ÖSYM. Em 2016, demitiu-se da sua residência em Cirurgia Geral no Azerbaijão e iniciou a sua formação em Especialização em Psiquiatria de Adultos na Universidade de Istambul, Faculdade de Medicina Cerrahpaşa, Departamento de Saúde Mental e Doenças do Adulto, onde ingressou no Exame de Especialização Médica realizado pela ÖSYM no mesmo ano, e tornou-se especialista em 2020 com a sua tese intitulada 'Transtorno da Imagem Corporal em Pacientes com Transtorno de Personalidade Borderline'.

Os seus interesses científicos incluem terapias psicanalíticas e baseadas em mindfulness, transtornos de ansiedade, dependência de substâncias, jogos de azar e outros vícios comportamentais.
