Dr. Ahmet Turkoglu is a general surgeon. He graduated from Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine (1998–2005). He completed his specialty training at Istanbul University Capa Faculty of Medicine (2005–2010).

He worked in general surgery as a research assistant at Firat University Faculty of Medicine (2005–2010). He then served as a specialist physician at Ercis State Hospital (2011–2012). He later joined Dicle University Faculty of Medicine as an assistant professor (2012–2016) and associate professor (2016–2018).

He worked as an associate professor at Gaziantep Medical Park Hospital (2018–2020), Hospitalpark Darica Hospital (2020–2021), and Private Reyap Istanbul Hospital (2021–2024). Since 2024, he has been a professor at Private Pendik Bolge Hospital.

Dr. Ahmet Türkoğlu is a highly experienced general surgeon with advanced expertise particularly in oncological surgery, advanced laparoscopic surgery, obesity and metabolic surgery, hepatopancreatobiliary surgery (liver, biliary tract, pancreas, Whipple procedures), and hernia surgery. He has extensive clinical experience in both laparoscopic and open surgical techniques. He is also specialized in gastric hernia surgery, hemorrhoid surgery, anal fissure and fistula surgeries, and other standard general surgery operations.

Academically, Dr. Türkoğlu is a highly productive physician with numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals. His research mainly focuses on pancreatitis, liver injury, ischemia-reperfusion, antioxidant agents, biomarkers related to obesity, wound healing, laparoscopic surgical techniques, and trauma surgery. He has served as a researcher in many experimental animal models, taken part in projects supported by national research funds, and presented at numerous international congresses.

Dr. Türkoğlu’s work has made significant contributions to areas such as early prediction of acute pancreatitis severity, postoperative recovery processes, and improving outcomes of minimally invasive surgery. With his multidisciplinary approach, strong scientific productivity, and extensive surgical experience, he holds a respected position in his field.
