- The number of liver and kidney transplants performed at our center has ranked first in Fujian Province for three consecutive years.  

- The kidney transplant team led by Professor Fan Yu completed **112 kidney transplants** and **1 combined liver‑kidney transplant** within two years.

- Kidney transplantation and all related surgical procedures.  

- Extensive experience in managing post‑transplant complications, including the use and adjustment of immunosuppressive agents.  

- Specialized in improving long‑term graft and patient survival, with a well‑established clinical system.

Education and Professional Experience

- Graduated from the Organ Transplantation Institute of Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology.  

- Furthered training at the Hannover Medical School Hospital in Germany.  

- Worked for 30 years in kidney transplantation at the Department of Urology, Shanghai First People’s Hospital.  

- Former Deputy Director of the Shanghai Organ Transplant Clinical Medical Center.  

- Former Director of the Transplantation Urology Department, First People’s Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Research and Achievements

- Focuses on basic and clinical research on long‑term survival of kidney grafts and recipients.  

- Pioneered the diagnosis and treatment of chronic and subclinical rejection in China.  

- Principal investigator of more than 10 research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as ministerial and municipal grants.  

- Published over 30 SCI‑indexed papers.

- Vice Chairman of the First Committee of Transplant Surgery Technology, Transplant Surgeon Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association.  

- Vice Chairman of the Fourth and Fifth Committees of the Organ Transplant Branch, Shanghai Medical Association.  

- Editor‑in‑Chief of *Chinese Kidney Friends* (《中国肾友》).  

- Editorial Board Member / Executive Editorial Board Member of more than 20 journals, including the Chinese edition of  *Transplantation*, *Chinese Journal of Organ Transplantation*, *Organ Transplantation*, and *Practical Journal of Organ Transplantation (Electronic Edition).
